Lili Reinhart Opens Up About Her Depression

Lili Reinhart recently talked about her fight against depression. She revealed that like her career, her mental health has also gone through ups and downs which have been very difficult for her. Lili is always open about her mental health and tries her best to break this stigma among the people. Describing her depression, she said, “I couldn’t see the light. I was like, ‘I feel like I’m dying.’ It was f— rough, and there’s no other way through it than just through it.”

Lili Reinhart Feels People Try To Overcome Depression With Drugs And Alcohol

Lili is of the opinion that many people don’t know how to deal with their problems. They just find ways to make it worse for them. As per her, she feels people who are sad try to overcome the sadness with drugs and alcohol. This just makes the matter worse for them and they keeping digging a hole for them. She said, “I’ve seen a lot of people when it comes to heartache and grief and breakups, and they try to get that void filled with sex, with coke, with food, with drinking, [but] the void is still there.”

Lili Reinhart Faced Her Depression Head On

Lili feels that while many people make many wrong choices while dealing with their sorrow, stress, and depression, she did the right thing by facing everything head-on. She feels that instead of doing unnecessary stuff out of ignorance, it is better to acknowledge your depression and face it. She said, “I took the road less traveled and just dealt with my shit. I had to face my own pain head-on.”

Lili Reinhart’s Talk On Mental Health Has Helped Many People

Lili is the perfect icon for mental health as she is very open about it and happily discusses it with everyone. She herself revealed that many of her fans have come to her and thanked her for helping them in dealing with their mental health. She said, “When I do conventions, and I can meet fans one on one, they tell me, ‘You speaking about mental health has really helped me a lot.’ It’s very surreal.”
