Watch Dogs has gained quite a name for itself in recent years. Moreover, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, people are staying at home and paying more attention to video games! Ubisoft has decided to launch the third version in this delightful series and bring back some normalcy into our lives. Is the game as monotonous as its predecessors? Read on to find out more!
Release Date: Watch Dogs: Legion
We do have an official release date! The game will release on October 29, 2020. Initially, the game was supposed to release in the fall of 2019. However, due to technical issues, the release date was pushed back to March 6, 2020. Despite that, Ubisoft could not meet this deadline. The game was pushed back even further to October 2020. Ubisoft has released its trailer and has also given a preview of the game. Hopefully, there will be no more delays.
Editions: Watch Dogs: Legion
Ubisoft will release four different versions of the game as of now. The editions are – The Standard Edition, Gold Steelbook Edition, Ultimate Edition, and the Collector’s Edition. Moreover, all four editions are up for pre-order. The Standard Edition is priced at $60 and offers the base version of the game. Meanwhile, the Gold Steelbook Edition has three different skins and will start at $109. This edition also comes with a steel, bookish case and offers three days of early access before the launch.
The Ultimate Edition trumps the Gold Edition by offering an Urban Jungle pack along with four weeks of VIP access. The Ultimate Edition comes at $129. The final package, the Collector’s Edition, begins at $189. Moreover, it offers everything which the other editions have, along with an in-game mask and a double-sided propaganda poster. Some stores are offering the different versions at slightly cheaper versions, so make sure you check them out too!
Storyline: Watch Dogs: Legion
Watch Dogs: Legion is the third version in the Watch Dogs series of games. The game takes place in the future in a post-Brexit model of London. The game is known for using surveillance technology in the game. A new security company, Albion, now influences the entire city. Blume, the evil company, portrayed in the last two games, secretly controls Albion. However, the main objective remains the same as the previous two games. The player has to recruit a team of operatives and regain control from Albion.
Gameplay: Watch Dogs: Legion
Unlike its predecessors, Legion offers any character in the game to become the protagonist. Furthermore, every player comes with their own set of skills, which can aid the resistance movement. Setting the game in London adds to the techno vibe of the game. Furthermore, adding a wide variety of players that can become the protagonist makes the game much more fun. The special operatives in the game are the Enforcer, Hacker, and Infiltrator. Specific traits belonging to the agents unlock at levels 5, 10, and 15. Moreover, the game has made it harder to convince the operatives, so you need to sharpen your skills as well!
